  1. Glock 27...

  2. Sig 229 is nice but; I have always liked a .45 cal pistol (M-1911), so I would recommend a Glock  21 as the preferred weapon

  3. P 220, .45 cal. Best gun I have evered owned.

  4. I have carried several police issue Sigs over the past 20 years so I feel very confident in saying "Buy A Glock!".

  5. I like the P250 (.357) though the Army uses the SIG 229 as a replacement for the old 1911 .45 caliber, I really liked that pistol, mainly because of the left hand twist and I shoot left handed so it felt more natural to me.

The Glock, mentioned above me is also a very nice pistol.

  6. My offices issues a 299 now and for the most part I love it.  We moved up from the 226 a few months ago and that was a decent hand gun as well.  Never had anything to do with the P250 yet however it's modular design seems interesting.  Especially if, for what ever reason, you need to make conversions.

  7. Without going into personal preferences of other brands ( as noted above me here), the P250 has ONE definete advantage over the P229.

It is a relatively new concept that Sig is marketing now. You can buy a functioning weapon that has a universal frame. They can also sell you the barrel, slide and magazine to turn the one weapon into three different calibers.

The advantage of that is you can have the advantages of lighter or heavier buttets at a far lower cost than buying three seperate weapons.

Personally, I think it is a VERY progressive design that is going to be copied very soon by other major weapon manufacturers.

Regardless of your choice, best of luck to you, shoot safely and I hope this is useful to you

  8. hmm not a Sig Sauer kind of guy but the Glock 23 is great; any Glock for that matter.  It's the only pistol I've handled where you are conditioned and trained to clear it (safe) and pull the trigger in order to take it apart.  The Sig I think has a hammer; anyway go for the gusto.

  9. I don't care for either one. I don't even like Glock I would rather carry a Smith and Wesson they just feel better in the hand.
