Is there a better conceal gun than this in it's size range? I am talking about the .40/.357 version. I have been practicing with Glocks, H&K, Colt, S&W, and Ruger. None of them conceals as well, or handles as well, or is as accurate. I LOVE THIS PISTOL! Your thoughts?

  1. Sig passes #1 in torture tests, so good choice. Get a .40 to allow for the heavier bullets (pistol rounds don't travel quickly enough to expand).

  2. thats really a personal preference thing, I personaly wouldn't trust my life to a semi-auto from Ruger or S&W.  Glocks just don't really do it for me and Colt hasn't been in the sub-compact ccw game for awhile.  the p239 is a slick little gun, I like the SAS model, I'd get one to match my p226SAS but I don't really have a use for it, of course thats never stopped me so we'll see, there may be one in my future.

In that size range the kahr will conceal better, but thats all it will do better, accuracy isn't as good and it won't handle like the sig.  I carry a kahr cw9 when I can't carry anything else for deep concealment reasons, its simply one of the easiest concealing and most comfortable ccws (except for maybe the roughbaugh r9, but its one expensive bug).  I carry the 9x19 because the thing is so light and short that felt recoil is worse than my p220, p226 or pro2340 in .357.

my usual ccw is a H&K p2000sk, its slighty larger (double stack mag) than your p239 and a whole lot blockier so its a little harder to conceal but not much.  the carry mag is only 10rnds but my extra mags are 13rnds (from full size p2000) and most importantly to me is that it's incrediably reliable (I've had to fish it and myself out of the river twice now and it will empty the mag even when its full of sand) and it out handles and out shoots nearly everything thats gone through my hands, the double spring recoil reduction really helps to speed up and tighten up the double taps.  the LEM trigger isnt quite as smooth as the DAK but it is shorter and easy to adjust.  Its increably accurate even with a short barrel, It holds its own against my p220 and mp40, If it had an SAO and target sights I'm sure it run with my S&W 52.

but the reality is that a large part of how a gun handles, its accuracy and reliablity is dependant on who's hands its in, some guns don't fit some people, and if its not properly lubed before it goes to the bottom of the river it'll only get one shot off no matter what it is.

If I couldn't have my H&K, I would go with Sig Sauer, they were after all my favorite handgun for many years, until I got my H&K that is.

  3. try glock
