i bought a sigg water bottle that's aluminum, and i really love it...for all you greenies out there it's worth the money to drink healthier! :) anyway

i'm flying from manchester boston airport to portland on southwest.

i love my sigg, and i want to bring it with me. i don't know what kind of water the airline offers. i refuse to drink any purified water, i only drink spring water so i want to bring my own water with me.

can i do that?

or can i bring it with me to the security and once i go through can i buy a water bottle and fill up my sigg then go on the airplane and have it in my carryon?

  1. you cannot bring any liquids on board tha are larger than 3 oz. on any airline.  You can check the stores after you've passed security for bottles of spring water but no guarentees.  You can bring it if it's empty. that won't be a problem at all.  And of course, you can fill it once you're passed security. but even the smallest drop of water inside it and they will confinscate it.

  2. I believe that you can bring your water bottle as long as it is empty. But you must take it out of your bag when you go through inspection this way they wouldn't pull you aside to get your bags checked. Once you are inside you can buy any bottled water you want as long as it is inside the airport.
