  1. Get the SwissPass or the SwissFlexiPass, depending how long you'll be there and how many trains you'll take. But the Jungfraujoch train is never cheap!

  2. You'll find a website containing all general information about sight seeing trains of Switzerland under www.swisstravelsystem.ch (for English click the language option on the top left).

Probably you'll be most interested in the "Railways Jungfrau Region". More in depth information about this is to be found on www.jungfraubahn.ch (here the language option is on the top right).

Cheap options are difficult in Switzerland. Sometimes there are special offers for visitors. Try http://mct.sbb.ch/mct/en/reiselust/int-g... for this. A general offer is the half fare card that can be purchased at any railroad ticket office. The costs are CHF 150.-- for one year and you'll get all tickets for half the general fare.

  3. You can get a railpass...its costs about 300 francs...with the pass you get half price off all trains... you can also check yourself on the official website of CFF

  4. Depending on how much time you would like to invest: From Interlaken there is a train crossing the Brunig Pass to Lucerne (Luzern) with the historical city centre, the lake and the Chapel bridge. From Lucerne there is a two-hour overland "Voralpen-Express" to St. Gall (St. Gallen), and from there you could return to Interlaken via Zurich, which is well worth a stop. These are trains without any kind of extra fees, just the normal traffic charge.

Special trains would be the one to Jungfrau, of course, of the world-famous "Glacier Express" which does not pass Interlaken.

PS: Do not miss visiting the Mystery Park in Interlaken!!

(the exhibition is in English, the website not yet)
