Question:

Sign Language Interpreting Program at CSN?

Does anyone know about the American Sign Language Interpreting Preparation Program at Community College of Southern Nevada?

Is it good or bad?

Can you earn an Associates Degree by taking it?

Any other Interpreting Programs you would recommend? Or any good info on becoming an ASL Interpreter?

Thanks so much!

  1. I don't know about Nevada specifically but you may check in the official website of the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (the association that regulates the interpreting certifications):

    https://www.rid.org/

According to it the Community College of Southern Nevada (Las Vegas, NV) provide the Associate Program. You can check about other courses in other places and about certifications you are going to need in order to work professionally.

    More info about ASL interpreting:

First go with the official site.
