Sign up for DirecTV in spouse's name?

We currently have DirecTV service and are at the end of our contract. We are also moving soon and will be in need for an additional HD DVR box. Has anyone succesfully signed up for DirecTV at a different location using their spouse's name?

Well first, you can give them a call and do some "shopping." If you didn't get the price that you want and went ahead with your transfer to another house, I believe they will still know that you are a former customer and not a new one.

Is there a reason that you can't contact them and say, "Hey, I'm moving, and I'll need another HD DVR receiver"?
