Signed Contract for 1 year with advertising company with 12 month rolling contract?

Question

when I signed the contract I was told it was for 2 years not 12 months with rolling 12 months now since I have read the contract I have to give 12 months notice is this right as the business I owned has been sold and have no need for advertising any more.

I think you would be wise to see a solicitor, I feel the contract you signed is directly with you the person, not the business, you are both two different endities.
