Signed by Jacksonville Jaguars: Jeris Pendleton aims for a successful career -NFL News
The Jacksonville Jaguars have continued locking in their rookies who were picked during the 2012 National Football League (NFL) draft, held from April 26 to 28.
As of the latest, Jaguars’ management said they have agreed to terms of the deal with rookie, Jeris Pendleton.
Other details, including value and tenure, of the deal have not been disclosed by any of the stakeholders, and without an independent confirmation, the player’s contract is being weighed to be a basic one, which normally is worked out for rookies.
Pendleton was picked in the seventh round of the draft out of Ashland University. His record in the college league consisted of 11 tackles and six sacks. He played the league only for two seasons.
With the signing of the DT, Jaguars have so far locked in three rookies to their roster, halfway through to signing half a dozen players they picked during the draft.
Irrespective of the fact that the player has not tall numbers to back his record in the college league his life is marked with selflessness and hard work he has done to support his family.
His life struggle prevented him from attending the college, Joliet Junior, until the age of 24.
Prior to that, he took some odd jobs, working into multiple roles, to financially support his family.
Yet he seems not to have lost anything and after attending a couple of years at the university now looks to try his luck in the pro career.
The 2012 National Football League (NFL) season will prove if he is successful in the pro environment and it should also have an impact on his personal life.
Pendleton has two children to support and a successful NFL career can serve to his financial cause.
Away from the life worries, the player says he aims for great NFL prospects.
His success will be as important for him as for his team, which itself is embarking upon on a new journey, led by new head coach, Mike Mularkey, and headed by the new owner, Shahid Khan.
