Signing the title over

Question

i paid $10,000 cash for the car.

he wrote on the title that he charged me $1,000

i called him and he told me its so i save on taxes.

cant i get in trouble?!?!?!?!?

wont they be suspicious?

If both the seller and the buyer both agree then you won't get in to trouble.  It is done all the time.

Here in texas ,they did it all the time without any problems, but now they have a new law. so it dose'nt matter what price you tell them that you paid, because they do there own estimate;s on vehicle's . It's all in there hands now , you got to pay what they think the car is worth. Remember that is in TEXAS , i don't know about other states.
