Tottenham Hotspur's Gylfi Sigurdsson is determined to achieve success with his new club and is hopeful that the side will the Premier League title next season.
The Icelandic international has been impressed by life at the North London club and is overwhelmed by the ‘ambition’ of ‘a massive club with 'fantastic players’.
Sigurdsson arrived at Tottenham after completing a loan-spell at Swansea City last season. The midfielder impressed many with his performances, scoring 7 goals in his short time with the Swans.
Former Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers was hopeful of taking Sigurdsson with him to Anfield as he became the new http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 manager, but the Icelandic midfielder had other plans and opted for Tottenham Hotspur instead.
The former Hoffenheim man is relishing life with the North London side and is looking forward to a career in white.
Speaking to the club’s official website, he said: "I’m delighted to be here. It's a massive club with fantastic players.”
"This club is always improving. There is massive ambition from the board and the players are really ambitious as well. We’re all looking forward for the new season to begin.”
He then went on to compare life at Swansea and his new life at Tottenham. 
"The main target at Swansea was to stay in the league. Here at Spurs, it's a big club and we aim to win titles and silverware.”
"I think the most important thing is that we get off to a good start in the Premier League, get a good momentum and then we can take that into the Europa League and then the FA Cup. We want to play for silverware in every competition we are in."
Sigurdsson was Spurs’ first signing of the summer and was yesterday joined by Belgian centre-half and former Ajax player http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jan-Vertonghen-c17814. Both players were unveiled to the media yesterday as head coach Andre Villas-Boas prepares for the coming season.
Tottenham are currently still linked with a number of big names and players as Villas-Boas prepares for a title challenge and hopes to assemble a squad that will be able to compete on all fronts next season.
