Silent Hill Video Games.. siren?

Question

Do you hear the sound of the siren in the video games.. like we do in the movie? The sound before it changes to like.. the other world thing :S which silent hill game is best? Please let me know your opinions. thanks.

IMO Silent Hill 2 and 3 are the best... They pull you in and dont let go until the story is done... Silent Hill 1 is a must though, it really helps out with the story

Yes, the siren is heard in almost every game as the normal world transitions into the nightmare world (the exception is Silent Hill 4).

As for the best Silent Hill game, I really suggest Silent Hill 2, because it really messes with your mind -- not to mention it's got lots of cheap scares. If you're really into the movie, though, you should check out the first Silent Hill and the third. Silent Hill 1 is the game the movie was based on, although there are lots of differences from the movie (Cheryl and Harry as opposed to Sharon and Rose, for example). The third is the direct sequel to the first and might...well, probably won't...provide closure that the movie didn't.
