Silent output

Hi,
I have the subject model which runs through a behringer u-control UCA200 USB interface so i can plug it straight into my laptop. The programme I'm using, cubase, picks up and records the sounds but wont play it back. Please help. I'm really stuck, i've tried loads of different ways.
