Silent phone calls, how do you deal with them?

I know who it is. They forgot to with-hold the number the first time.

Yell something like "Get back in your cell!  I will get the tazer!  I mean it!  Put the SUV down!  Ok I'm hanging up the phone and getting the Tazer Lary!" then slam the phone down.

by the way ...use a whistle and just blow it in the phone...it will be very annoying for them... and they will stop

leave the phone off the hook, place it next to a speaker and play Pantera down the phone line really really really really really loud lol

because they either fancy you or dont like you, i would call back the number and do it to them that way you are letting them know you know its them doing it, make sure you do it around 3am too.xxxxx

Get a whistle and blow it down the earpiece- if you don't fancy doing that just leave them on the end of the line and go do something else- they are the one paying for the call.

Don't talk to them as this is their kick from getting a reaction to you

when they ring, leave the phone off the hook, then if they stay on they will be charged, if they are calling from a home phone, they won't be able to dial out while you're still on the line!!

Call them back and let them know their busted and tell them they will be reported if they keep it up.

Keep the number in your phone, but don't answer the calls.

It could be one of those computer generated calls, where they try to find out the best time for an agent to catch you.  Basically a computer phones your home over a period of time and registers the best time to get you to pick up.

You can stop these by registering with the telephone preferential service....

Next time it happens, just calmly say you are now having all your calls monitored due to harassment. I bet they won't call again.

They do it because they think they can get a hold over you, pick the receiver up and dont say anything a genuine caller will say hello if its them just put the receiver down to the side of the phone then they might think you are listening, and ignore it, after a while they will get bored and hang up wasting their phone bill whilst they are at it!!
