Question:

Silly Putty stain on clothes?

So I was playing with Silly Putty and I got some on my brand new shirt. I looked online and saw to use rubbing alcohol to get the putty off. I tried that, and it got the sticky putty part off, but I am still left with a bright pink stain from it. How do I get the stain to disappear? There is no silly putty left on the shirt, but just a colored stain. The shirt is 60% cotton and 40% polyester if that helps in any way. Please help me out! Thanks :)

  1. Sorry... but there is nothing you can do about it.

Get a new shirt... probably too much trouble to go through but... I hope this helps!

  2. After checking out Hints from Heloise, you can take 1 part rubbing alcohol, to 2 parts water, and place a few sheets of paper towel under the stain, then put the alcohol & water onto the stain, wait a few moments and then add a few drops of detergent,  rub gently and rinse. you might have to do this again.

Also  you can try taking WD40 and apply that to the stain with  a cotton ball. on both sides of the shirt, let that stay a few moments, and add dish detergent and rub gently and rinse.   Hope this helps
