[<OR DOES IT>]

My question is what does it take to be a guidance councillor.. For a high school/college/university.

I will be pursing a career as in criminal justice (Law Enforcement) but I thought maybe through college/university co-op.. or work before I actually am a sworn in Constable, that I could work as a guidance councillor.

Now their jobs.. don’t really have a description like degree in that.. Diploma in this.. So I was just curious to know.. I wish I would of asked my guidance councillor before the summer.. But if my answer doesn’t come along I’ll make sure to ask.

Their sooooo helpful, and the way they plan and help people with their future plans in life is inspiring, to me at the least.

Thxxxs.

Comment/Advice all appreciated :P

  1. To be a guidance counselor you would need a 4 year degree in psychology and to really ensure a job you could go the 2 extra years to get your masters degree. Im not sure if you can be a guidance counselor with a criminal justice degree or not although people go from being cops to being doctors so I dont see why not, lol. Best of luck to you
