  1. Since sperm can live longer than the egg, it's generally better to try to have s*x a day or two before as well as the day of ovulation.  The egg can only survive for approx. 12-24 hours, but sperm can live inside you for 5-7 days.

If you think you are ovulating today and are trying to conceive, have fun baby dancing tonight!!

    Good luck!

  2. The egg lives 12-24 hours, so 8 hours could be just fine.

  3. 8 hours is fine

  4. i believe that sperm at optimum conditions can last up to 48 hours. Eggs can only be fertile for around 24 hours. so you could theoretically have s*x up to 2 days before the day before ovulation (because the sperm can last), the day of ovulation and the day after ovulation because the egg should still be OK.

  5. I think the egg generally only lives for about 24 hours but sperm can live anywhere from 5-7 days (right conditions permitting inside a womans body) so if you know when you're ovulating...i'd say you have a pretty good chance! good luck

  6. a couple of days

  7. The egg only lives anywhere from 12-24 hours.  So it's good that you have sperm there waiting on it.  I wouldn't stress about it though.  Good luck!

  8. hi hun, on the ovulation test that i do it states that after getting a positive result the best time for intercourse is within 24 to 36 hours

    good luck xx

  9. You are more apt to conceive in the morning so plan to have s*x during that time and when your temperature is higher you are also more likely to conceive since that is when you would be ovulating.  This is how I conceived the first time.  Your temperature will peak and that's the best time to conceive.  If you aren't sure just have intercourse every day and then you will be sure to hit the right day.  Hope all works out for you.

  10. Once you ovulated (egg has been released) it can survive up to 24 hours.
