Mark Martin coming out of retirement and going to Hendricks.

Casey Mears out at Hendricks, but where will he go?

And the BIG rumor of Martin Truex Jr. Leaving DEI.

What is everyone's opinion of Silly Season so far?

It seems to come earlier every year.  It definitely gives us stuff to think and talk about, I like it.

Certainly has been interesting!  

I feel like Tony is smart, and he's gonna do great!  It is gonna be fun to see how it all goes for him!

Joey is a great driver, he's got a lot to learn, but he'll be awesome!  He's said/done some stuff that didn't look to nice, and/or sound nice but he's only 18, he'll do fine...

Newman is a mystery to me, he's great at qualifying, and would be a good choice for Tony!  He would get them into races with his ability.

Mears is a total mystery to me???  I've never been impressed with him, I find myself waiting for him to do something impressive.  lol  I'm not saying he can't, I'm just saying, so far he hasn't.  I haven't a clue where he will go.

Martin is a great driver, and I hope he goes with a great team!  It is gonna be fun to watch him!

Next yr is gonna be even more interesting, see how all this plays out!  Can hardly wait!

I think it will be nice to see other people replacing their NASCAR wardrobes besides the Dale Jr fans.................Change is inevitable!!!

okay martin tuex will fill in the rcr 4th car. and casey mears will fill in for truex or like he said his uncle did great in open wheel why cant he so he could be leaving the sport in all.

I feel like I am watching a soap opera this year.  I never watch soap operas just documentaries..

Way too much drama, but I guess that is what Nascar fans want these days.  I prefer the racing.

Silly season has gotten out of control! And it all goes back to

when McMurray broke his contract to go to Roush and then

Kurt Busch broke his contract to go to Penske. When these

things happened, it made the sacred contract not so sacred

anymore (contracts can be broken to suit the greed of the

drivers) And who then became the greediest ? Dale Jr!

because he had a tiff with Teresa and instead of changing

to a team that really could have accomodated him, he instead

insists to Hendrick to let him drive for him which forces Hendrick to get rid of a driver and that happend to be Kyle Busch,,, just because Jr. thought the grass would be greener

on the other side. Well, Jr. who is doing better than you this

year? It is Kyle who was kicked out for you!

So, now you know why Silly Season has gotten out of control!

So far, it has been pretty exciting.. Everyone was saying once the first domino falls (Stewart to his own team), then the rest will fall, and that will hopefully start soon.

It only adds to the excitement!  Its so cool each February at Daytona to see new drivers in new cars.

I'm glad Newman is leaving.  I think he is a better driver than the cars he's given.  Mears didnt earn his right to stay with such a strong team so I'm glad he's gone.  Martin, full time? awesome!!  Truex?  Same as Newman.  He should leave for a better ride.  I have no idea what to expect with stewart.

I think its very chaotic this year.

Usually they hold off on this to the offseason but nope...the times are changin'.

Shows the greed of the sport  Drivers make a bundle weather they win or lose  Owners pay the high salaries to drivers  some who haven't won much- then ***** about high cost of running a team, and the big teams get better  cause they bring in more money while the little teams who made this sport what it is struggle week to week.  If NASCAR dose not fransise NASCAR will become  a IROC race with 43 Toyota COT running

Why not make it even sillier. They can line up all the cars have the drivers walk around them and then when the music stops every driver that can get into a car get the ride for the year.
