The pair moved to Parc des Princes from AC Milan last month, for a combined fee of 63 million Euros. And the 27-year-old has revealed that a conversation took place between him and his good friend, Ibrahimovic, before putting pen to a paper on PSG contract.
Arguably the best centre-back in the world at the moment, Silva said that he wanted to continue playing with the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 man at Milan, but things didn’t turn out the way he wanted.
“My thinking was that I wanted to continue with Ibrahimovic at Milan, but at the last moment we came to an agreement to continue playing together for PSG,” said Silva.
The Brazilian captain added that he held talks with Ibrahimovic about moving to Paris, and in the end, they decided to sign the deal.
“I will tell the truth. We spoke to each other before signing the deal.”
While talking to reporters, the former Milan player expressed his delight at being a part of Paris Saint-Germain’s project and is looking forward to help his side win titles this season.
The 27-year-old added that there are so many good players at PSG and he feels lucky to be playing alongside some of the best players on the planet.
While talking about his team-mate Ibrahimovic, Silva stated that no one denies the qualities of the Swede. The Brazilian added that not only Ibrahimovic is a fantastic striker, he is a great friend of him and their relationship will benefit the team as well.
“I feel privileged to be playing with some of the best players in the world. Everybody knows what a great player Ibrahimovic is. Apart from being a fantastic striker, he is also a great friend that I have made through football.”
