Manchester City’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Silva-c10601 has urged his team to look beyond their derby win against Manchester United and focus on their remaining fixtures this season.
City went on to beat their local rivals by one goal to nil and as a result of that win, City went on to claim the top spot in the league table, based on goal difference.
In doing so, the team successfully went on to overturn an eight point lead that the Red Devils had over City and at the same time, the team completed their first ever double over United in over thirty years.
Despite the win having a number of positive impacts on the club and helping the team move into a very favourable position, Silva doesn’t want his team to get carried away and wants everyone to forget about the derby. The Spaniard insisted that the team needs
to focus on their remaining fixtures, since it is now important for them to avoid suffering any slip ups in their coming games.
When talking about the league and just what kind of mentality his side needed to develop, the midfielder is quoted to have said: “We knew we had to win on Monday, mentally we were ready to win it”
"We did that and now we have to continue concentrating on the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684.”
“If we end up winning the title, Monday’s win could be the most important win of my club career. But we have to win the championship for that win to mean something.”
“If we can win the Premier League, we hope it can open the door for us to win many more trophies. Last year we won the FA Cup and qualified for the Champions League.”
City now need to try and beat their upcoming opponents and should the team be able to secure a win in both their upcoming games, they would be able to secure a the League title for the first time in over forty years.
It is now a wait to see just how far City can go and whether they can win the league or not.
