  1. It could be one of a few things, but without any visual data to make an assessment on, this is just shooting in the dark.  Depending on the shape of this and size, this could very well be a tumor, or it could be an injury as well.  Hard to say without knowing if there are tank mates, the tank size and decor.  Would be pretty much impossible to tell what this is without seeing a picture, let alone recommend a treatment.  It sounds like you do everything you should, but pictures will go a very long way in this case.

Arowana are carnivores, and algae would mean very little to it.  Some fish such as chinese algae eaters, plecos, and other  bottom feeders however would enjoy algae.

  2. im sorry !!

  3. Sadly, it could be cancer.

  4. arowana fishes that turns red that means its rare and you should feed it roaches and crickets. so the colors turn epic. its really cool and if you sell it when its about 15inches and its red you will make alot of money its a good investment. algae isn't really a good fish. i would suggest you to get flower horns those fishes the males if you raise it and make the bumps on the head big by feeding it certain types of food to make the forehead big the price range will be sky rocketing. you dont need to change your water once a week. i have those fishes myself. i change mine once every 3 months. i have a powerhead filter its the best only 40 bucks and those regular filter with rocks in them make the water to an ugly dirty color i suggest you getting the power head filter.

  5. Its far better & wise that,

you should discuss this with veterinary / Fish(Aqua) specialist?

  6. My fish had a red bump on it, turned out to be pregnant.
