Question:

Silver Shark swimming upside down

He's only started doing it in the last hour or so.

I usually feed the tank (about 10 tropical fish, mixture) with shrimp brine about once a week.

But I noticed earlier in the week one of me clown fish was beginning to show symptoms of swim bladder, so I've put it in twice this week, the last time being earlier on this afternoon.

As you can imagine al the fish go slighty 'banzai' when I put this food in - including both sharks.

One of his fins looks reddish/bloodied at the body end.

I've stuck him in my hospital tank....

Any suggestions...????

  1. test the water parameters in your main tank. red fins can be a sign of injury, but also a sign of bacterial infection caused by water quality issues, it may just be that this fish and the "clown fish" (what is this? a clown loach?) have lower immune systems than the other fish and are showing problems first.

try an anti-bacterial med on the sick fish and see if it improves.
