Silver quarter?

Question

im sure we all know that the u.s. used to make silver quarters.

and i was looking threw my change and i found a quarter from 1965. is it silver? i think they stopped making silver quarters in 1965 or was it 1964 if so can you still find silver in quarters from 1965?

Silver in 1964, half silver in 1965, no silver, 1966

Look at the edge. If it has any copper color, it's not silver. Silver also will look slightly whiter than the newer quarters. 1964 is the latest year on all the silver quarters I've ever seen...I've got about 18 of them. They can be worth four or five dollars to a collector if they are in good condition.
