Silverstone almost sold out for upcoming 2011 Formula 1 British Grand Prix
It has been revealed that the venue for the upcoming British Grand Prix, Silverstone, is almost sold out a month before the event is expected to take place in the first week of July 2011.
The British Grand Prix is one of the grandest events of the Formula 1 season and this year, it is expected that most of the teams including Ferrari and McLaren are going to introduce some major changes in Silverstone which might change the current scenario
of the 2011 season.
However, statements from Red Bull Racing team have also revealed that they are not behind as they are hoping of improving their performance even more with each passing race weekend.
The British Grand prix is going to be the 9th race of the 2011 Formula 1 season and since it is almost near the half way marker of the season, everything might get even clearer in terms of each team’s respective performance. After this race, either
the championship would be heading Red Bull Racing team’s way or maybe McLaren and Ferrari close in on the reigning world champions and things might get more competitive.
Reports have revealed that all the tickets for the event have been sold despite just one of the circuit’s grandstands being available for Sunday’s race. The last general admissions ticket was sold this past Monday and it seems that the event might turn out
to be a success for the organisers. The organisers of the British GP were in financial distress since they had to pay a huge sum in taxes in 2010 and many new development expenses were incurred in order to upgrade the track.
Nevertheless, only tickets for the Vale Grandstand are available now. These grand stands offer great views of the circuit and the paddock as well. In addition, they offer a view of the new pitlane entry which is going to be used for the first time for this
year’s British Grand Prix.
Other than that, high-in-demand individual family tickets are still available for the practice and qualifying sessions on Friday and Saturday.
