Silviniaco Conti awarded with best price for John Smith´s Mildmay Novices´ Chase Grade 2
Silviniaco Conti has been awarded with the best odds for winning the John Smith´s Mildmay Novices´ Chase Grade 2 at Aintree in England on Friday, April 13, 2012. The triumphant horse will walk away with a cash prize of £42,713 in the end.
Going will be good to soft in the 3 mile 1 furlong race, which is scheduled to start at 14:30 GMT. A total of five runners have been confirmed for the event and their names are as follows: Silviniaco Conti, Champion Court, Join Together, Solix and
Yes Tom.
The bookies expect Silviniaco Conti to win today’s race, as he is in very good shape at the moment. He has entered four chase races until now, winning one of them and finishing runner up on the same number of times. In addition to that, he has also
secured the third spot once, which shows that he is fully capable of performing with consistency.
The Paul Nicholls’s trained gelding performed decently in his most recent race, as he finished fourth overall. He was expected to do well, as the bookmakers had awarded him with the best odds back then as well. However, he failed to meet the expectations.
The six-year-old is expected to deliver a better show at Aintree today and he will be helped by seasoned jockey, Ruby Walsh, to achieve that. He is one of the best jockeys in the business and has won 110 chase races at a terrific strike rate.
On the other hand, Champion Court will also be a force to reckon in the race, as he has got a lot of experience. He has entered six chase races in his career, winning a couple of them. He has also secured two runners up positions and one third place
spot, which shows his consistency at this level.
The Martin Keighley’s trained gelding seems to be in very good form right now, as he finished runner up in his most recent race. He will need to be at his best in order to battle for victory against Silviniaco Conti today.
The rest of the runners do not really seem to be in a position to fight for victory at Aintree today.
