Despite the word-class prominence of the former Sporting Lisbon star, Berlusconi will only sign the attacker if he is available at the right price. Milan are also heavily linked with a move for Premier League stars, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Carlos-c8346 Tevez
and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robin-van-Persie-c31380. However, the former Italian Prime Minister has ruled out the possible signing of the strike duo.
While talking to the reporters, Berlusconi said:
"http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926. Van Persie and Tevez? Who?"
Shifting his focus to the UEFA Champions League last 16 round second-leg clash against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429, Berlusconi has urged his team to go in the ground with only a win in their minds. The 75-year-old believes that playing defensive football
is not in his team’s DNA and they should look to play their natural game.
"We have to go on the field to win. We can't go there and play a defensive match, we have an international reputation to defend. We have a team that can still be the number one. We want to be protagonist in Italy and in Europe,
although it is a shame we have so many injuries." Added the former Italian Prime minister
The Rossoneri chief also heaped praise on the first-leg hero, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Zlatan-Ibrahimovic-c38029, insisting that the Swede deserves a Golden Boot award.
Milan won the first-leg 4-0 at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza a fortnight ago, and have one foot in the last eight of the competition. The second-leg will be played at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday, 06 March.
