Similar to an earlier question to do with security opening suitcases..?

Is tehre anything they can not do that they might try.. also I am 15 so what are my rights?

  1. No, they can rip your case apart if they suspect you have something illegal in it.


  2. When you enter an airport you voluntarily surrender most of your unreasonable search and seizure rights.

    If they suspect anything illegal, they can and will search and confiscate anything on your person or in any of your bags or belongings.

    If you are randomly selected for additional screening, the same search and confiscation rules will apply.

    The only privacy right you have in an airport is to ask the TSA personnel to search you in a private room, rather than in the security line.

  3. You say security, you actually mean Customs Officers. If they are going to open your case they will always do so in your presence (or ask you to open it). As a juvenile you are entitled to have an adult (over 18) person with you. If you are travelling alone, they will supply an 'appropriate adult', they will not allow you to delay the process by demaning your parent etc attend. For a personal search you will be in room with 2 customs officers (if you are female they will be as well) and an appropriate adult. You have no rights to refuse.
