  1. yay, another fullmetal alchemist fan!

i would reccomend D. gray-man, its not that similar, but its:

    not romantic-ey (good thing)

the dude isnt missing any limbs, but he has like a cursed arm

instead of the philosophers stone, they have this weird green thing

instead of alchemy, they have demon- fighting

    shapeshifting evil people

  2. inuyasha

  3. D.Gray Man:

Towards the end of the 19th century, Allen Walker officially joins the organization of Exorcists that destroy the beings known as Akuma; mechanic weapons made by the Millienium Earl with the suffering souls of the dead. Allen has both a cursed eye and an anti-Akuma weapon as an arm, bearing the power of "Innocence", a gift given to him as an apostle of God. Allen, along with his fellow Exorcists must put a stop to the Milleniuum Earl's ultimate plot that could lead to the destruction of the world and all who live on it.

Both shows take place in about the same time period (early 20th century for FMA, late 19th century for D. Gray-man) in Europe in a world similar to our own. They are both about unique abilities, with an organization of alchemists in FMA and an organization of exorcists in D. Gray-man. They are Shounen as well as some comedy mixed in and are both very enjoyable to watch.

    Busuo Renkin

The story begins when high school student Mutou Kazuki is killed one night saving a mysterious girl from a monster, only to wake up and find it was only a dream. However, he soon finds out how real that dream was when a giant serpentine monster attacks him and his sister. Tsumura Tokiko, the girl from his dream, explains that the monster is a homunculus. Kazuki had been attacked and killed by it when rescuing Tokiko, however the girl revived him by placing a kakugane medal in his chest.

The kakugane, Tokiko explains, is an alchemical device that when activated can give him the power to fight the homunculus monster. Using this, Kazuki creates his own buso renkin, an alchemic weapon in the form of a huge lance. Along with Tokiko and her own buso renkin, Kazuki joins the fight against the homunculus and their master.

Both shows feature alchemy, though each has it's own take on what alchemy really is. Many might not find Busou Renkin quite up to par with Fullmetal Alchemist, but both shows are great in their own ways.

    Baccano

Baccano is Italian for noise, but Narita translates it as "stupid commotion." Each of the stories in the series involves several unrelated plots intersecting and crossing each other as events spiral farther and farther out of control. Immortal alchemists, mafia operated speakeasies, and many other elements of pulp fiction mashed together for a world straight out of the movies. Based on a light novel series by Narita Ryougo.

Both revolve around alchemy , immortal beings, and a mystery is everywhere

    Chrno Crusade

The year is 1928 A.D. The place is New York, U.S.A. The economic prosperity brought forth after the Great War also heightened the presence of something far darker and much more sinister: the demonic Sinners. The Magdalene Order is an organization that tries to counter this force. Two of its exorcists are Rosette Christopher and her assistant, Chrono. Both appear out of place in an organization like this, and they are in a quest to find Rosette's missing brother, Joshua. Their relationships, secrets and fates can only be revealed in time...

Both animes deal with a little bit of a "gore" theme and center between teens who have abilities/characteristics unique from others. Both series also imply the importance of family, acquaintances, and life xD (the main characters of each series have their family the antagonist!

    Neon Genesis Evangelion

In the year 2015, the Angels, huge, tremendously powerful, alien war machines, appear in Tokyo for the second time. The only hope for Mankind`s survival lies in the Evangelion, a humanoid fighting machine developed by NERV, a special United Nations agency. Capable of withstanding anything the Angels can dish out, the Evangelion`s one drawback lies in the limited number of people able to pilot them. Only a handful of teenagers, all born fourteen years ago, nine months after the Angels first appeared, are able to interface with the Evangelion. One such tenager is Shinji Ikari, whose father heads the NERV team that developed and maintains the Evangelion. Thrust into a maelstorm of battle and events that he does not understand, Shinji is forced to plumb the depths of his own inner resources for the courage and strength to not only fight, but to survive, or risk losing everything.

These two series are very similar as to how the story is portrayed. Both are phycological and twisted in the same ways, you never know what's going on and the story keeps building up and putting things together.

FMA is full of humor and it can even pop up in the middle of a serious moment.

Evangelion has ecchi humor that appears in its own time.

And they both are considered one of the best anime.

    Enjoy~ ^^

  4. Busou Renkin might be good
