Unless this is a homework assignment or something and you have to have a simile, I'd drop that idea altogether and go with something like:

The breeze caressed my face.

Everyone knows what a breeze on the face feels like--comparing it to something else only complicates matters and doesn't help.

Thats a simile--metaphors describe objects w/out using like or as--simile's descirbes by using like or as--example:metaphor:I'm dead tired--Simile: She is as strong as an ox--sumthn like that--i hope this helps u..
