Katich claims that the matter of his ouster is now ‘dusted’ and no one is expecting him to make comeback to the 5-day format of the game. The veteran batsman revealed that he is keen to advance his Test career, but sees no further opportunity in the near
future.
Talking to the media today, the Western Australia-born guy said, “I wanted to play as much Test cricket as I possibly could, and that is why I was bitterly disappointed (at losing my contract). I have moved on. I guess, down the track, hopefully. I think
it was all sorted out after the incident.”

Now, Katich avows that Pup has taken revenge after holding the post of captaincy. The axed cricketer’s angry outbursts against the incumbent captain have provoked Cricket Australia (CA) to file a law suit against him along with the imposition of a huge fine.
However, Kat has defended his remarks by saying, “I gave my opinion, simple as that, that is how I was feeling at that point in time. All I was doing at the time was answering a question. That is done and dusted."
Katich’s ouster was opposed by almost all of the former Australian cricketers and international cricket experts on the basis of the fact that the left-hander had an excellent batting average of 45.03 in the Test format. He also owned good records in the
other two versions of the game.
