Following an impressive knock in the recent tour match featuring the Australians and the Sri Lanka Board XI, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Usman-Khawaja-c2729 earned some commendable praises from his country mate Simon Katich who lauded the batsman for his potential as a future cricketing
star for Australia.
“From the first time I saw him he was really fluent in the way he played, as guys are from Indian and Pakistani descent. The thing that impressed me the most was that he always batted in the top order as a young player and opened the batting for us. He had
a really good, solid technique and as time's evolved he's got tighter with his defence and shot selection. He's always been good against the short ball. He was very natural against blokes who banged it in short” stated Katich.
The praises may have come out loud for the young batter since Khawaja had initially joined Katich’s club Randwick at a young age of 17, from where the player rose into a budding star.
