for the team.
Mignolet made the switch from Sunderland for a transfer fee of £9 million and sealed the move yesterday after passing the medical. The move has raised questions over the role of Pepe Reina in the team and further increased speculation

The Belgian shot stopper claimed that competition for places is a very good sign for the team and admitted that he has faced the same situation at any club he has played.

and to play with pressure. I'm very confident in myself and I can't wait to get the first clean sheet under my belt,” he concluded.
Simon Mignolet made 90 league appearances for Sunderland in his three years at the club and won the Belgian Goalkeeper of the Year award in 2010.
