The Bianconeri midfielder insists that he wants to impress Antonio Conte in order to make his space in his first team plans.
Simone Padoin has stated that he wants to become a regular figure in Juventus’ playing eleven, and insists that more time on the pitch will allow him to exhibit his talent.
The midfielder made just six league appearances in the 2011-12 campaign for the Old Lady, after his move from Atalanta in January.
Padoin stated that Juventus will be a part of the next season’s UEFA Champions League, and insisted that he is very excited at the prospect of being able to play football at the highest level.
The Bianconeri midfielder acknowledged the criticism and anger that was directed to him as he left Atalanta, but insisted that the invite from the Old Lady was a chance of a life time, and he did not want to waste it.
The Vecchia Signora playmaker stated that he hopes to prove himself worthy of more time on the pitch, and insisted that regular appearances in the playing eleven will allow him to exhibit his talents for the Champions.
While talking to Sport Orobici, the 28-year-old said:
“We’ll be in the Champions League next season and that is the biggest stage you want to play on. My hope is that I’ll be able to step on to the pitch with a bit more regularity in order to give the best of myself. I know that I
was criticised for leaving Atalanta and that was legitimate. However, the train for a big club arrived and I had to get on it.”
Padoin moved from Atalanta to Juventus for a reported fee of five million Euros.
The Bianconeri midfielder c*m left-back stated that he chose the Turin giants over his previous outfit, because he believes that the Old Lady will not only provide him with opportunities of growth, but also give him a chance to
add some trophies to his career.
“Juventus will give me the opportunity to improve and offer me the chance to win some trophies.”
Padoin had played 19 league games for the Nerazzurri in the 2011-12 campaign, before making a move to Turin in January.
