Simone Prutsch punishes Kodric Tina in Women’s Singles first round of Slovenia International 2012
Austria’s ace shuttler Simone Prutsch started her run in a striking fashion when she toppled Slovenia’s Kodric Tina in Women’s Singles first round at the FZ Forza Slovenia International 2012 on Friday, May 11, in Slovenia.
Prutsch, who is the top seed in Women’s Singles category, showed her remarkable run in her first match of the tournament and punished her local rival with a thrashing margin.
The top seed was on a different level in the court as she remained miles ahead of her opponent in the whole contest and won the battle in straight game with a one-sided margin.
On the other hand, Kodric tried to play but she was no match to the top seeded Prutsch and lost the contest without showing any strong resistance in the whole competition.
In the first game, Prutsch found a wonderful start when she took no time in setting up an early lead.
The positive and aggressive play of Prutsch spared no room for Kodric to place her shots.
Until the one-minute break in the first game, the higher ranked Austrian lady remained ahead of the local shuttler.
After the one-minute break, the Prutsch continued her roller coaster play without facing any trouble from her challenger and easily bagged the first set with a superb score of 21-11.
In the second game, both ladies played well in the opening points and remained close.
However, Prutsch took over the control by playing attacking game and started to stretch her lead while remaining positive.
Until the one-minute interval, the higher ranked Prutsch was progressing smoothly in the court.
After the break, Kodric tried to play fast badminton and she started to take the bird early but failed to live up to expectations of her home fans as she lost her focus in the game.
On the other hand, Prutsch remained positive in the game and she did not let her rival to reduce the gap at any stage.
The Austrian lady remained successful in winning the second game with a 21-15 score on the board.
Prutsch won this Women’s Singles fight in just 31 minutes with a tremendous difference of 21-11 and 21-15.
