Ive plotted a scatter plot on my calculator and have found the line of best fit using the LinReg function. Now I need to determine if there is a strong association between the two variables. I know if there is a function on the calculator that tells you the value of r (?), and if its close to 1 then that means there is a strong association? Idk, can someone please help me out with this?

  1. It is called Diagnostic

If it didn't show r and r² when you did linreg, here's what to do:

    Hit CATALOG (2ND 0)

    Scroll down to DiagnosticOn

    Hit ENTER twice

Then recalculate, and it will show r

If r is close to 1, there is strong positive correlation and if r is close to -1, there is strong negative correlation
