  1. you could have small cookies that say eat me on them(from another part of the movie) and tag the cups with little drink me signs. Decorations should be colorful and you could get all different looking chairs at the table. Get many small teapots and fill them with candy or other treats as favors. For centerpieces you could make a tall structure that looks like balancing plates(out of styrofoam) and put either a mad hatter's hat or a teapot with the little mouse in it). Another centerpiece could be on of those clear teapots filled with glass beads and have it on top of a column of some sort. Also for food i would suggest simple sandwiches that you would see at a normal tea party! Hope this helped!

  2. Have each guest bring a hat and cup.  It lets them show off their personal style and will give them something to talk about while mingling.  As for food go w/the typical tea party stuff.  Finger sandwiches cookies and scones.  Use bright colored icings to decorate the cookies and cut them into funky shapes.  Use food coloring to die the scones into your favorite colors.  Hit up a flea market or thrift store and look for interesting tea pots (Marshalls sells a lot of unique things like that for super cheap) and put a different one on every table.  Good luck and have fun.

  3. So much fun. We have them parties ever year and this was everyone's favorite so far.

We had everyone wear a hat (not a baseball hat). Everyone was in really bright colors. I tried to find an episode we saw no TV that was the same theme but couldn't find it. Maybe you can. The show is called Party Girl and is hosted by Cathy Riva. She had grass going down the center of the table, tea sets everywhere, tea sandwiches, cupcakes that said eat me on them :)

    Here's a website I found with a few pics of a party:

Also, Urban outfitters has some serving wear with Alice on them. When we got them they had three platters, but now I only see one. Anyway, if you go to the Urbanoutfitters website, click on Apartments and then Kitchen and bath, you can scroll through and see what they have, platters, cups and mugs.

    Have fun!!!

  4. That will be fun!

I say have people bring their own hats for sure.

    All depending on your budget...

For invitations you could get some kind of big playing cards.  Maybe have them all be the queen of hearts.

For center pieces.... I say head to your local dollar store...get some clear glass bowls or some teapots or tea cups.

For the glass bowls you can add some of those clear or colored rocks and in each one put water and a different color food coloring fror the water. also some fun confetti (preferably one that floats)

If you can find tea pots I day paint them some crazy bright colors and get a bunch of tissue paper (also bright colors) and add the tissue paper when you would put the water so its standing up.  Add a few different colors.  Then take some bright confetti or even glitter and sprinkle it on the table around the center piece.

  5. wierd snacks - blue cake and purple tea maybe

  6. I love that idea!  Have you watched Alice & Wonderland recently?  I'd go and watch it again because that would give me ideas and I'd see details that I had forgotten about.  Maybe some edible flowers on top of some cucumber tea sandwiches?  Maybe for centerpieces you could use inexpensive glass vases filled with bright candy, beads, etc. then put a small dowel inside and put a weird, colorful hat on the dowel.  This is garage sale season, so maybe shop around at some and you might find some supplies there.  Or a resale shop like Goodwill or something.
