Question:

Simple easy tofu recipe for midnight snack?

i have a package of extra firm tofu (the refridgerated kind) and i need a simple recipe that doesn't take hours. i pretty much have nothing else but i know i have some seasonings maybe parsley no granulated anything, paprika, veg oil and olive oil, no bread crumbs....

my point is something easy and simple?

  1. You can slice it and eat it raw.  Top it with a mixture of soy sauce, sesame oil, sesame seeds and chopped green onion.  It's pretty delicious.  Or you could fry the tofu first and then top it with that mixture.

  3. pan fry the tofu in olive oil on med, and season with whatever spices you have/garlic of onions if you have any  :))

  4. Personally, I like browning it  in a pan, after covering it in a little bit of soysauce and honey.  It's perfectly sweet and savory.

  5. frying it isn't such a gd idea (fattening)

    Anyways you can chop it into small cube, chop up celery, add it, add a bit of lemon and maybe a tiny bit of garlic..

    I love it that way.. lol.. but then again I AM WEIRD!

    you can add parsley and za'tar (dunno what it is in english) and a bit of olive oil and lemon.. I like that too..

    If you fry it, you can make a sauce with it: soy sauce and onions ..

    pretty yummy ^_^

  7. fry it then set it aside...in a frying pan pour some oil stir in sliced onions and tomatoes then pour in the tofu add a little oyster sauce and a little water and soysauce if it's simmering already.. top it with onion leeks..im sure you'll going to love it..light on the stomach
