Simple linguistic question?!!?

Hello!

I have a few simple linguistic questions about the following sentence..

Are you saying Islam Q&A which you have also cited, and which I cited in my opening posts is unreliable because they're s**+'a?

1. What is being asked?

2. Are they saying that the site is a shiah site, or are they asking if it is shiah?

I think they are asking why I think it is unreliable because it is shia. So, I think they believe it is shiah.

However, they think they were asking if it was shiah, but I do not see that at all.

I am 100% fluent in English and French, and I just do not understand at all how they see this differently.

So, just a simple question!

Thanks!

  1. I would read it the same as you - it seems they are stating that the site is s**+'a, and asking if that is why you think it is unreliable.  Taking out the extra phrases the question becomes: "Are you saying Islam Q&A is unreliable because **they are** s**+'a?"

If they were trying to ask you if the site was s**+'a they didn't word it well, but not every one speaks or writes clearly. Possibly they were trying to ask, "Are you saying Islam Q&A is unreliable because **you think they are** s**+'a?"
