My 3 yr old has decided he wants to be a magician. I am looking for simple tricks he can do. Any sites or ideas would be welcome.

  1. There's the disappearing salt shaker trick.  It will take practice but he can do it.

    Or disappearing toothpick.

  2. One of the best known children's magicians in the world is David Ginn.  His website is ginnmagic.com.  I can tell you that there will be little real magic to fool adults that your 3 year old can do but it is never too early to get him started.  I would recommend the "disbanded" routine done by Ginn. If you watch the video on his site you can just about figure out how to do it, and then teach your son ( he has it for sale of course).

Check out your local library too, they often have childrens magic books in the juvenile section.  Good Luck and enjoy.

PS: My son's first card trick was to have someone pick a card and have it replaced to the deck.  He would then pull out another card (not the right one) and say "is this your card?"  Of course the spectator would say "No" and then he would reply" See it's magic, I changed it".  Obviously no magic but d**n cute for a 4 year old.  Have fun.
