Simple points on Families and Households - A/S sociology....?

Question

Can someone doing A/S Sociology tell me some simple points to remember on: Families and Household?

Some easy points to remeber - it can be anything from Laslett, Parsons, Diversity, Childhood (my weakest area), Social Policies (another weak area of mine) and MOST importantly......... some sociological studies that are easy to remember, yet some studies that I can use in the exam - try Bott, Boulton, any Feminist Studies, Functionalist Studies or Marxist Studies!

Please I need some help, as my exam is jus round the corner! haha :D I find it hard to read and remember, even taking notes stresses me out! I need some easy points that i can remember and take in with me during the exam! Thanxxxxx so much! :D

social policies r goverened by the interactions of the members of the community.  for in soc wehre there r many single parents,  u hv to hv policies that will help those in this predicament.  so marriage laws or children needing help must hv two parents hv to change..  

beating of children, ensuring they get at least a basic education r part of social laws tt each community must hv.  in advanced european societies - children cannot be hit or punished with physical abuses.
