how do i rewrite 315 degrees in radian measure as a multiple of π(p)i?

  1. pi = 180

    x/pi = 315/180

    x = 315 pi/180=7/4 pi


  2. There is a simple equivalence between radians and degrees:

    Pi radians = 180 degrees

    You can then set up a proportion to solve for whatever you want

    Radians:radians::Degrees:degrees

    315:180::x:pi

    This is easier to see as: 315/180 = x/pi

    use product of means = product of extremes

    315*pi = 180x

    solve for x:  x = 315pi/180

    in loweest terms:  x = 7pi/4
