Simple question bout hcg levels and hpt's?

what causes hcg levels to increase when you are pregnant? and if you WERE pregnant and the baby was fine and healthy what could cause a hpt to come up as neg?

Some women have lower HCG levels and it takes them longer to get a positive on an HPT, although its not very common.  Go to the Dr. and they can give you a blood test or an ultrasound and check for sure to see if you are pregnant.  Theres no sense in waiting and driving your self crazy about it. :)
