Can we have a breakdown of where the 20 million goes.

does it help to get each school a special needs teacher for dyslexia. LEA and Learning

  1. Is that 20million spread over a millenium? Latest figures show that all the money spent on 'literacy hour' a few years ago have made minimal difference to reading ages - never mind for children with SEN.

    Seriously, if a school has a specialist teacher or TA, their hours are shared between several pupils. If you had a child with a statement of SEN, recommending 25 hours TA support per week, there is no guarantee YOUR child would get 25hours 1:1 support - the TA would be contracted for 25 hours a week, but would work with several pupils - I know, I've done it.
