  1. for (3/4)^2.........

    3^2   /   4^2    =    9/16

    for (1/3)^3..........

    1^3    /   3^3     =   1/27

    for 3^2   =   9

    combining 'em all...

    STILL FOLLOWING THE  SIGNS...

    (9/16  -  1/27) (9)

    (227/432) (9)

    (227/48)------------------------------...

    or

    4  35/48

  2. [(3/4)^2 - (1/3)^3] * 3^2

    Parentheses first...

    [9/16 - 1/27](3/2)

    = (227/432)(3/2) = 227/288

  3. [(3/4)^2 - (1/3)^3] * 3^2

    (3/4)^2 = 3/4 * 3/4 = 9/16

    (1/3)^3  = 1/3 * 1/3 *1/3  =  1/27

    3^2   = 3*3  = 9

    (9/16  - 1/27) *9

    (9*27  - 16)/(16*27) *9

    (243 -16)/(16 * 3)

    227/(16* 3)

    227/48  = 4.73

  4. [(3/4)^2 - (1/3)^3][3^2]

    = [9][3^2/4^2 - 1^3/3^3]

    = [9][9/16 - 1/27]

    = 9*9/16 - 9*1/27

    = 81/16 - 1/3

    = (81/16)(3/3) - (1/3)(16/16)

    = 243/48 - 16/48

    = 227/48

  5. looks hard

  6. (9/16-1/27)*9=

    [(27x9-16)/(27x16)]*9=

    (243-16)/(3x16)=

    227/48
