  1. the answer is C)64/27

first find square root of 9/16

    which is 3/4

    then cube 3/4

    which is 27/64

but since the exponent is negative u reverse it

    which gives u 64/27

  2. Ok, its really hard to tell if the first fraction is by itself or seperate. i know it is hard to do on a computer.

If there are 2 fractions and the bottom number (denominator) are 16 and 2, you need to find a common denominator. It can be 16. We need to change the 2 in the second fraction to 16 as well. To do this we need to multiply 2x8. Now take the 8 and multiply it to the top. This answer is 24.

So now we have 9/16-24/16. Subtract and we have -15/16.

I'm wondering if because it is a negative number, that perhaps the question has been written wrong.

Hope this helps. Retype if you need more help.
