  1. I have no idea, this problem is like at higher math level

  2. cannot squareroot a negative!

  3. Assuming you have knowledge of complex numbers,

    sqrt(-5) + sqrt(-20)

    sqrt(-1) * sqrt(5) + sqrt(-1) * sqrt(20)

    i * sqrt(5) + i * sqrt(20)

    i * sqrt(5) + i * sqrt(5) * sqrt(4)

    i * sqrt(5) + i * sqrt(5) * 2

    3sqrt(5) * i

  4. √(- 5) + √ (- 20)

    √ ( 5 i ² ) + √( 20 i ² )

    √5 i + 2√5 i

    3√5 i

  5. you cannot have squareroot of negative numbers in the real world. However if you assume sqrt of (-1) as 'i', then it would go like this:

    sqrt -5 + sqrt -20 = sqrt (-5) + (sqrt (-5) * sqrt (4)) = sqrt (-5) times (1 + sqrt(4)) = sqrt (-5) times 3 = 3i times sqrt (5).

  6. (√5 + 2√5) i

    = (3√5) i

    If the "' - " isn't meant as a minus sign then ignore the " i ".
