    sin (A + B) = sin A cos B + cos A sin B

    sin (A - B) = sin A cos B - cos A sin B

    So:

    sin (x + y) - sin (x - y)

    = sin x cos y + cos x sin y - [sin x cos y - cos x sin y]

    = sin x cos y + cos x sin y - sin x cos y + cos x sin y

    = 2 cos x sin y.

    = option b).
