Simplify the expressions..?

Simplify the expressions..Assume the denominators are not zero

a) (uv^2)^3 divided by v^2u^3

b) (3x^2y^3)^ -2 (thats negative 2)

i dont know how to solve them and show my work..

    you may try this one


  2. cube the expression in parenthesis = u^3v^6 / v^2u^3

    now subtract the exponents = v^4 (over 1) (the u's cancel out because they both have 3 as the exponent)

    the negative 2 exponent goes away because since it is negative it travels into the denominator, which is one, so it cancels out (it sound confusing but trust me on it) = (3x^2y^3)

    that's simplified!
