  1. It is because sec A = 1 / (cos A)

    cos 2.3 sec 2.3

    = (cos 2.3) x (1/cos 2.3)

    = 1 <--- you are right

    Note: in this question, that doesn't matter how large the angles are. As long as they are the same, the expression has to be 1.
