Ok I answered these and she said to check the reducing part of the following equations if someone could help me out and tell me what I did wrong, and what the correct answers should be. Thanks alot

6. 3z^2+z/ 18z+6

and i put 18z+6=0 subtract 6 from both sides 18z=-6 dived by 18 and get

z=-1/3, so its already in lowest terms

7.) 5x-25/x^2-25

i put x^2-25=0 x^2=25 x=5 x=-5

8.) 3x^2-3/6x-6

i put 6x-6=0 6x=6 x=1

10.) m-3/3-m

i put 3-m=0 m=3 m=-3

  1. i dont really understand what are u calculating. i think what the question really want is for you to simplify the equations. not finding the value of the x,y or z.

    1. 3z^2+z/ 18z+6

    = z(3z + 1) / 6(3z + 1)

    = z/6

    2. 5x-25 / x^2-25 <----- simplify it to..

    = 5(x-5) / (x-5)(x+5) <--- simplify again

    = 5 / (x+5) <--- final answer

    3. 3x^2-3 / 6x-6 <--- simplify it  (divide each nmber by 3

    = x^2 -1 / 2x-2

    = x^2-1 / 2(x-1)

    = (x-1)(x+1) / 2(x-1)

    = (x+1) / 2

    4. m-3 / 3-m

    = ( m-3 / 3-m ) x ( 3+m / 3+m )

    = m^2-9 / 9-m^2

    = m^2-9 / -(m^2-9)

    = -1

To check ur simplified equations, just replace the x,y and z with any number. Test for both simplified and the actual equation. If you get same answer, that your equation is correct~

except for the last queastion, to recheck:

    m-3 /3-m = -1 <---- cross multiply we'll get

    m-3 = (-1) (3-m) <---- thus

    m-3 = m-3
