Question:

Simply Shabby Chic Bedding Collection @ Target?

I really like the Simply Shabby Chic Bedding Collection from Target. I need opinions on which bedspread to choose, cause they all look incredibly similar to me. I saw a lot that weren't available in twin (what i need), but I'm thinking that they might be in stores. Also, when you tell me which you like best, could you please give me some painting advice? What colors would look nice with it? I have a big window with white sheer curtains and I was thinking I could make that an accent wall and have the rest white, but please share your thoughts. My original idea was to do the wall red, but I haven't been able to find a nice bedspread to go with that, and I'm not sure any of these will. Maybe lavender? Right now, my room is really little girl pink, and I feel a desperate need to redo it. I have gray carpet, and I'm in high school. (if that matters) Well anyway, here's the link. Thanks very much!

  1. Near the bottom of the page, there is one called the lavender jewel collection.  (YouIt comes in twin size.  Here is what I would recommend.  I would keep the white curtains that you already have, order the bedspread and wait for it to arrive.  Then, take the bedspread (or pillowcase or something from the package) to the paint store and have them match either the lightest shade of lavender or even better- a light green from one of the leaves in the flowers or something.  Another cute Shabby Chic thing that you could do would be to paint some wide alternating stripes on the wall- maybe a soft color and the white.  I would keep your accessories to a minimum to keep the room really soft and simple.  The gray carpet should be just fine with whatever you do, but if you want to soften it a little, you could toss a fluffy rug over the main walking area.  Good luck!

  2. I liked the first two, starting from the left.

I think you any color wall would look fine with them, since practically any color goes with white.

Don't use any dark colors, though, because that'll make the room feel smaller.

I'd try just some normal satin curtains. DON'T use white though, because personally, your room sounds kinda boring already.

Try adding in a plant or soemthing for good feng shui.
